A Masonic lodge, often called a "private lodge" is the basic organisational unit in Freemasonry. While the term refers to the organisation, it is also commonly used to refer to buildings in which such organisations meet.
A Masonic lodge must be warranted or chartered by a Grand lodge.
Lodges generally work the three basic Degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason.
